Project access answers which content a person can open. Their workspace role answers what they can do with that content. Check both when inviting someone or diagnosing a missing action.

Give a teammate access

  1. Invite the person to the workspace with the role and team appropriate for their work.
  2. Ask them to accept the invitation with the invited email address.
  3. For a team-scoped project, confirm they belong to the team that can access it. Add existing workspace members from the team’s Add team member action.
  4. Share the project, source file, and target locale. Ask the teammate to confirm they can open the content.
  5. Confirm their role supports the requested task before handing off approval or administration work.
Organization-wide roles can have broader access than team-scoped members. Use the role guide and Members → Role permissions to inspect available actions.

Check connected TMS access

A Platform role does not grant permissions in an external TMS. If a connected project is missing or read-only, verify the provider account and its project permissions as well as Platform access. Follow connection troubleshooting.

Change or remove access

Review team membership when a person’s responsibilities change. Removing a team member removes their access to projects scoped to that team; other access may still apply through their workspace role. To remove workspace access, follow member removal. Personal tokens inherit the owner’s current access, so inspect tools and automations that depend on that person’s credentials.
