Use Has issues in the Content Editor to focus on strings that need attention. Resolve the underlying problem before approving the target text.

Work through an issue

  1. Open the affected file and target locale in the Content Editor.
  2. Filter to Has issues, then select a segment.
  3. Compare source and target, including Placeholders & ICU, Length, and relevant terminology.
  4. Correct the target and inspect the checks again.
  5. Approve when the translation is ready and your role permits it.
Keep placeholder names exactly as written in the source. For example, {userName} must not become {nom}. Translate the visible wording inside ICU plural branches while preserving the message syntax. See ICU troubleshooting for concrete syntax examples.

Track a decision in Board

Open Board when the issue needs an owner or a broader product decision. Include the project, file path, key, locale, source wording, proposed translation, and the decision needed. Revisit the affected segment after the team resolves the issue. A tracker item and a translation approval serve different purposes. Check the translation itself before considering the content ready to ship.

Repeated quality issues

If the same term or tone issue appears across files, update the relevant glossary or guideline and review other occurrences. If a translation-memory suggestion is outdated, correct the resource rather than repeatedly accepting and repairing it. See Translation quality troubleshooting for a systematic check.
