# Download translated files

> Choose between complete translated files and filtered segment exports.

Use **Download translations** to get target files for your product. Use the Content Editor’s queue **Download** to hand off a filtered list of segments for review.

## Download target files

1. Open the project’s files view and select **Download translations**.
2. Select one or more **Source files**.
3. Choose a **Target locale**.
4. Select **Download** and check each file’s result.

You need source files and at least one target locale. Check the generated files in the destination application, including placeholders and formatting, before publishing them. A downloadable file is not a guarantee that every segment has been reviewed.

## Export a filtered queue

1. Open the [Content Editor](/platform/cat).
2. Set **Filter queue** and search to select the intended segments.
3. Open the queue toolbar’s **Download** and choose a format.
4. Verify the locale, keys, and row count in the exported file.

Queue exports contain up to **5,000 matching segments** in queue order. Split larger handoffs by source file or narrower search/filter criteria. An empty filter result cannot be exported.

## Missing or incorrect output

Check the source path and target locale first. If text is missing, inspect untranslated segments and the generation job. If a queue export has fewer rows than expected, clear filters or check the 5,000-segment limit.
